Lock and intruder alarm integrated in the handle

The ABUS FO400A is a window handle lock with closing and alarm function. The device is attached to the sash instead of the normal window handle, and the corresponding striking plate to the frame. The ABUSFO400A can still be used in the same way as a normal window handle, but security technology offers additional protective functions:

• Closing the window using the handle
• Total interlock thanks to printing cylinder
• Open only with the right key

The integrated electronic alarm function emits a warning tone of approx. 110 dB (measured at the source) in the event of someone mishandling the lock. The alarm electronics are powered by 2 AA batteries, which means that they work on their own, thus maximising break-in protection even in the event of a power outage.

Easy assembly and use in everyday life

The electronic alarm window handle lock from ABUS can be installed on wooden, aluminium or uPVC windows alike, but only on inward-opening models.

Both DIN left andDIN right installation is possible, and thanks to the adjustable bolt, practically every window model can be retrofitted with this security technology.

Since the window lock has a one-key system , several locks can be opened with the same key. This increases both break-in protection and child safety, while still guaranteeing hassle-free use in everyday life. The ABUS FO400A model can withstand a pressure of up to 1 ton and is secured by interlocking steel latches. The backset can be variably adjusted to the respective requirements between 30 and 37 mm.
