Coloured doors in classic RAL colours are also suitable as customised solutions for detached houses and apartment buildings as well as for commercial construction. With coloured window frames, façades can be designed in a sophisticated way. The variety ranges from classic white uPVC French doors to different shades of anthracite and grey uPVC French doors or elegant wood decors like Golden Oak or Mahagony (similar to rosewood).

But your scope for design doesn't end at colours. Depending on the construction situation, you can opt for generous double doors or allow a maximum of natural light into your home by adding a top light or giving your new door three or even four sashes. If you choose an external French door with more than one sash, you can also choose how many of these sashes should be openable. For example, a door with two sashes can have one opening – inwards or outwards opening – and one fixed sash that functions as a side panel or sidelight. Other possible design features include a filled instead of a glass panel or adding glazing bars. You have the choice between three types of window bars: Helima, Viennese and a glass-separating bars. While Helima bars are placed between the sheets of double glazed French doors, Viennese bars are glued to the inside and outside of the double glazing. Glass-separating bars, as the name already suggests, are fitted into the glass sheet, so that the double-glazed surface is separated into smaller parts. Whichever glazing bar type you choose, you can select the number of vertical and horizontal bars to resemble the style you prefer, for example, Georgian bars.

Our uPVC French doors are available in a range of popular wood decors such as Mahogany or Golden Oak. The extrusion process used here ensures that the decor foil permanently fuses with the profile and cannot peel off. uPVC French doors with a wood finish are therefore UV and light-resistant, withstand all weather conditions and are also much easier to maintain than models made of real wood.
You can choose from three different opening types: fixed glazing, turn function and turn-and-tilt function. All three opening types are available for single-sash as well as for multi-part French doors; only in the case of four-part models are the two outer sashes always fixed-glazed. As an alternative, you will also find sliding doors that can be opened in a particularly space-saving manner.
For both windows and French doors, a U-value below 0.8 W/m²K is considered suitable for passive houses. With a U-value of up to 0.74 W/m²K, our uPVC profile energeto 8000 ED more than meets these requirements. This is achieved by a sophisticated 6-chamber system with three sealing levels and highly insulating thermal foam. With these excellent values, the energeto 8000 ED is also eligible for passive houses.
