The side glass inserts open your hallway upwards, to the right, to the left or on both sides for additional light, the glazing corresponds to the glass in the entry door and usually offers privacy protection. If two sheets of glass are glued together with a special tear-proof foil, this is called laminated safety glass (LSG). This extra sheet can be added on the internal or external side of the door and makes breaking the glass insert more difficult for intruders. Other options include P4A glass and impact-resistant glass.
Other security features are lever-out protection, which prevents the hinges from being tampered with, and a multi-point locking system that makes it much more difficult to "crack" the door compared to a simple lock. With the aluminium external doors, you even have the option of upgrading to resistance class RC3.

Measuring the wall opening for the front door is essentially similar for new buildings and renovations. Height and width are measured in two places and then the smaller nominal dimension is used. Subtract 10 mm from each side of the measurement to allow space for sealing. In new buildings, you must also take into account the planned floor structure.
