This leads to particularly stable discs that feature the well-known web pattern. In terms of scratch resistance, however, other materials are somewhat superior to uPVC glasses.

Laminated safety glass consists of several panes of glass that are connected using a special film. LSG is the real glass variant for covering a canopy. It is extremely scratch-resistant and robust, which is why it is often used in windows as glazing with break-in protection. If one of the panes is destroyed by force, the shards will stick to the film. In this way, the stability of the glazing is maintained and no shards can fall on people standing under the canopy.
